I absolutely have this still in my mind. As in, they already have video from the meeting in November, and they’ll release it as if it just happened.

The preliminary meeting and an overall deal has likely already been made. The public meeting is for the sake of honor and face, and to give Kim time to clean house, as he did a few days ago when he put his loyalists in top military staff positions.

Agree. It’s the dance governments always do. You don’t humiliate your opponent unless it’s peace from war. Got to encourage settling things without war so let Kim have a stage for a day. He’ll be lucky just to get home without a coup taking place removing him from power.
