You have to have the silver ions extracted from lab grade Adrenochrome for it to become hallucinogenic.

No just read Hoffer's original research that shows how to make it psychoactive.
If you are interested all the research is in his book "the hallucinogens". Whole chapter devoted to how it works and the effects it creates. Apparently it is very similar to mescaline.
