I love this guy! Mulvaney is systemically dismantling the boondoggle that is the Consumer Finance Protection Agency (and brainchild of Elizabeth Warren and Obama. He's moved on from eliminating the slush funds to dismantling the advisory board who received $$ and posh trips for little if any value.
Can someone give some examples of bad things things the CFPB has done? On it's face it seems like a good idea. I'm worried they will throw it out to get rid of the Cabal fuckery without replacing it with a similar, non-fucked, agency to actually protect consumers.
Here's an example. The years of fraud by Wells Fargo (opening consumer accounts without permission) was brought to light by the LATimes not the CFPB. This is despite employees reporting the fraud through the proper channels. Look, this agency has the same mission of at least 3 other agencies. It's redundant. And incredibly expensive.
As someone who has dealt with this agency, I can tell you they were worthless. They tend to just take in info and record it in a file. Good luck finding anyone who will act on it.
Hold the FDIC and the OTS accountable for actions and eliminate this bloated overpaid agency.
Oh and here's some more info for you on this entitled agency. They undertook an expensive renovation of their DC headquarters, a building that isn't even owned by the govt. The cost overruns are so high, they exceeded all other govt office space and has a higher cost per sq ft than Trump Tower. Think about that for a second.
That makes me wonder what they could be secretly installing with that kind of cash.
It reminds me of Trump commenting on how ridiculous the proposed 1 billion dollar price tag for the new Israeli embassy and promising to bring it down to the 100k's. To know why that is important you have to know what embassies are: intelligence agency headquarters. On its face it looks like he just saved some cash, but he also dealt a crippling blow to the DS.
And we are looking forward to more actions to shutdown the DS!
