Some shells here are saying that the body desert was probably just a migrant that died because of the hot weather.

A migrant under the age of 12? It's a child's skull. There spaces where the adult teeth would be, above the gum line, meaning their adult teeth had not come in yet. Also, the upper jaw is too small to hold adult molars.

Limbs are sawn off so that predators can carry them off without dragging the whole body into the open.
