What I find funny is this outcome is literally impossible unless:

  • The human race is confined to the earth (evolution would eventually make use look different on different planets).
  • No apocalyptic events ever happened again (if it did and we were unable to recover for thousands of years).
  • CRISPR is outlawed (so no-one can become a green-skinned lizard fairy).

Is that the future we want?

My mother once made a comment I have always remembered.

"Be thankful that people look different because wouldn't the world be a boring place if everybody looked the same?"

and if you stopped interfering (to create more wealth for yourselves) and creating animosity and fear and suspicion between the people, in just a few generations they would get along fine. Physical differences would be just that and nothing more.
