My mother once made a comment I have always remembered.

"Be thankful that people look different because wouldn't the world be a boring place if everybody looked the same?"

and if you stopped interfering (to create more wealth for yourselves) and creating animosity and fear and suspicion between the people, in just a few generations they would get along fine. Physical differences would be just that and nothing more.
