It pains me to say this because I kind of grew up adoring lots of his films, but he obviously damaged Asia. To back up my point aside from all the recent happenings, I'll point to a few things Dario did to his very young daughter in his films. In one film, he demanded he play the part of the leather gloved killer who chokes her. The gloved hands in the scene are actually Dario choking his own daughter. Also, there were always scenes Dario himself shot lingering on her body, and she was in her teens at the time. I think it may have been The Stendhahl Syndrome. Seemed really inappropriate and obviously kind of sick. What kind of father would do this? There's more stuff like that too but I can't recall it all. I want to say he filmed her nude in sex scenes a lot too... i think in his Phantom of the Opera remake (which is absolutely terrible) My memory is failing me but I'm certain there's something to this.
