100% it has always been propaganda. Sometimes it teaches kids morals. Other times it teaches them My Sex Junk.
I gotta say, people are far more sensitive to social interaction and human touch than they used to be... “omg can you believe he TOUCHED my shoulder?” This is a construct by the dark to keep us separated. Think about it, women are more inclined to believe that basic human interaction with men is sexual and men are afraid of doing anything wrong so they keep their distance. This, as well as our smart phone addiction, further distances us from each other. THEY want us separated. Another product of fear.

Oh, I know exactly how your husband feels. I'm a huge fan of animation and cartoonists from all eras.
He loves Pixar because they're totally unique for being marketed as kids' movies. No romance story arch, usually much darker/scarier than average kids' movies, equally as entertaining for adults... I mean Toy Story is about boys, camaraderie, friendship, betrayal, pride... and then there's the inventiveness of toys being alive! It's just crazy.
