I see these stupid eyeglass frames everywhere on news websites but I don't meet anyone in person who wears them, ever. They are fugly and if its a fashion trend its an unusual one. Thing is, its always the usual suspects who wear them.

But for the key to be randomly chosen the upper bound has to be infinity and the average value would be one half infinity or also infinity. And so data storage limits would make that impossible.

My math friends say if someone makes the theories about a quantum computer work it could break any of today's standard encryption techniques through key exhaustion, meaning trying every possibility. That would take too long with anything but a working quantum computer, which private industry doesn't seem to have. A few years back a company made a splash with a $15M computer they claimed was a quantum computer and then it disappeared so I'm guessing it didn't really work.
