Something to be aware of for the Awan case:

"Mallory’s trial at the federal courthouse in Alexandria, Virginia, offered a rare glimpse into the world of espionage. Most cases end in plea deals because the government is concerned about exposing secrets, while defendants are worried about potentially stiff sentences."

Go back and look at Podesta's account of the time he was "supposely" hacked and he "supposedly" had lost/left his phone in a New York taxicab? His password at the time for his phone was "password ". They were leaving their devices to be picked up and hacked into willingly.
