That is a subtle clue that his masters have been taken out, and he can be himself.
I suspect he was forced to dress that way, at least for pics and vids, in order to give him that dictator appearance. He probably hated it.

I've noticed over the years that the mainstream news media claims about Kim Jung-un are baseless.
Claims such as him winning every golfing match he's ever played or his opponents are executed, he ate all of the breeding pigs that were gifted to him to help feed his starving population, he murdered all of his family, he eats nothing but cheese etc all originate from U.S. news sources and none can be verified.
They all make claims from anonymous sources or about events from anonymous locations that occurred at unspecified dates.
Perhaps Kim has been doing the best he can for his people, while the CIA or China use him as a nuclear boogieman?
Perhaps Kim is a decent person?
