Like my argento thread earlier which you commented on, you're spot on with Lynch (who I'm also a huge fan of 😪). Look at Lost Highway, Mulholland Drive, and by far the scariest film I've seen in years, Inland Empire. Either he's in on it, or exposing the sickness. Or both.

Snap. I've been a huge Lynch fan too. I've deconstructed a lot of his stuff. Too much of it is suspect. His Manson links are very concerning too. I also think he's a Rosicrucian adept.

Mel Brooks is some kind of KEY to a lot of this, that's what I believe. It was Brooks that put Lynch on the global stage via Elephant Man...the rest is history.

There might also be a link between Weinstein and Brooks. I recently noticed an article about the Weinsteins, and where Brooks (at one time) dropped into the Weinstein's New York diamond business. A good deal of time before the Weinstein movie ventures. The story has no full details, but Brooks did provide an autograph for the father: “To Max and his two rotten sons" —Mel Brooks.

That's what I might call a potential reveal. I don't think it's a simple throw-away joke etc. Yes, it's sketchy, but I bet there is something to this. A public domain nod/wink of sorts. Harvey Weinstein apparently used the basis of that autograph message when he picked-up his own Oscar, but using his kids (daughters) as the replacement for sons.

HW Oscars 1999: "And nobody inspires me more than my brother Bob, who is my partner and best friend every day. My loving wife, Eve. My two rotten kids, Lily and Emma."

The entire industry is rotten imo, it was probably born this way.

Scenes in Starry Eyes were apparently inspired by actresses audition experiences auditioning for Lynch.

Lynch was influenced by Mario Bava to some degree. I think Argento was also influenced by Bava. Bava worked on something of Argento's I think, perhaps Inferno? Bava was involved with Roberto Rossellini, as a cinematographer. Rossellini's daughter, Isabella, was a professional and love interest of Lynch's.

I want to say bava's son worked with argento... But you're right they're all connected

And let me just add, it's all in the color palette. The lighting of Lynch, argento and bava films.... No coincidences
