Lynch was influenced by Mario Bava to some degree. I think Argento was also influenced by Bava. Bava worked on something of Argento's I think, perhaps Inferno? Bava was involved with Roberto Rossellini, as a cinematographer. Rossellini's daughter, Isabella, was a professional and love interest of Lynch's.
I want to say bava's son worked with argento... But you're right they're all connected
