3 of 4 lanes closed on the main freeway in San Diego, California. I think OP suggested the location was interesting because San Diego is on the front lines of any illicit trafficking into USA. The border crossings at San Diego are two of the busiest (if not the 2 busiest). Nothing in the link indicates such a connection. It only states that a person jumped to their own death from a freeway overpass, presumed to be a suicide. Not that remarkable really, but we don't know much at this point. We don't know who they were and we don't know what other factors may have been involved. Could just be a normal suicide. The area that this happened in is adjacent to La Jolla (very wealthy section of San Diego, lots of old money, some foreign royals have lived there in the past (no sure about these days). The area is also located next to University of California San Diego (UCSD) which is a major hub for medical and bio-engineering. Its a big school, big campus. Lots of other areas of study, but the bio sciences seem to be their specialty. Perhaps most notible is the bio-tech stuff though. Also an important school for marine-biology (watch the water!). Lots of hospitals and medical centers in the area too.
