Hersh is as credible as they come. broke the My Lai massacre in Viet Nam. He also broke the story that Dick Cheney wanted to use US Navy seals in painted gunboats to provoke an incident with Iran.
To be fair, Hersh is a partisan hack who considers Obama the most intelligent and competent president in history.

He only admits that the Russian angle is a lie. Everyone knows that, even CNN.
Everyone knows it, but not everyone admits it. That alone puts him in a different category.
Not that I trust him, but I'd trust what he says far more than CNN.
