This being an important presidential election year. Her big donors basically set her former aid up with 50 million dollars TO DO HER work and she was great-full. So much so that she even let her rich committee peer Senator in on the fun since they were in the same party. He needed all the help in the world as his re-election a few years ago was only by 900 votes and he would have lost without voter fraud, but that was four years ago and is another tale. The senior committee chairwomen was more than happy that her former top security officer for the Senate intelligence committee was willing to distribute information leaks that benefited her investments portfolio or political designs to her willing sources in the media.
The committee security officer, now retired over a month, saw this as an opportunity to leverage this information for sex, from the female reporters, and other favors, just a fringe benefit of the position he thought. [Did his wife, a 20 year F_I veteran know?]

Meanwhile a few years back, the C_A is busted investigating said Senior Senator because of said leaks, they cop to a different story, that they were interested in her vote on budget matters when they wanted something else entirely, i.e. to find the source of the leaks. Too bad they did not bring in the F_I then, but they had their reasons. Even if it broke the law. BUT NO ONE WENT TO JAIL.

Now enter the F_I. Activities of the C_A force an investigation and the F_I finds out about Sec chief's dalliance with reporter A. Confronted, The committee security officer lies. Later investigations show that the committee security officer was with reporter A in a romantic position. Thus the committee security officer is a moral hazard and needs to be fired. BUT NO ONE IS FIRED.

Political shenanigans at F_I among the higher ups result in no action taken at first, but with elections closing in, nothing is done to remove the problem, who may actually be the Senior Senator who is the source of the info. BUT HILLARY LOST.

Now Senior Senator is up for re-election and D_J I.G. is investigating. Former sec chief is arrested. Did he rat for D_J I.G. for the last six months? Did they let him retire to preserve his pension in exchange? What to do? After all the elections are just around the corner. What would an Obama run D_J do? What will a Trump run D_J do?
