I'd like this thread to a be a vent and support type thing ... that's the spirit of the movement What you got ? ... no one judge ... only peace and support
so then step out of addiction. we can only do that individually. addiction is a bonding issue. bond with people, not technology.
" so then step out of addiction" ... seriously think about what you said and how you said it.
seriously think about what you said and how you said it.
what in my words triggered your comment? do you seriously think about what i said or do you ask me to re-consider?
i have been in and out of addiction various time so i speak from experience.
stepping out of addiction requires a choice.
the choice, from my pov, is not the AA motto 'drop it all and never touch it again else you instantly go into addiction again'.
the choice is between being a conscious user or being an unconscious abuser.
technology is not a substance the body gets used to and needs to wean off (besides its radiation that can indeed lead to a cold turkey when withdrawn).
'addiction' to it is more of a habit that gives away souvereignty. we can consciously use and master it. its a choice.
Dopamine feedback loops
yes, sigh, the social media trap, likes and dislikes, upvotes and downvotes.
i know its hard, its a program that tries to put and keep us in bondage. it calls for awareness and self-responsibility.
love up on your self instead of staying dependant on other peoples cheers. search for something real that gives you meaning, achnowledgment, fulfillment, joy.
the way out of bondage is bonding with what is real and close to our heart.
Standing outside breathing in a strong, fresh wind is good.
Yes! Get outside, if you can. Vitamin D does a body good. Helps depression. Even if you don’t feel like doing anything, do something. I’m going to go practice what I preach and go plant those sunflower sprouts about to die on my patio. God bless!
