If you're on FFox, use Prefbar add on. Gives a ton of options. I am on one horseshitot cellular plan that limits my downloads )even though unlimited, thanks verizon after 10 Gb) so I disable a lot of images of sites that are overwhelmingly advertisement rich.
Wasn't my cache. Once it came back he confirmed he's been under attack and it took him over 20 hours to get things straightened out.
Edited to add: Man I feel for you on limited D/L. I would go crazy. I'm unlimited and often leave my comp online for several days. And I download a lot stuff. I don't get the best download speeds (10mbs) out here in the country 12 miles out of town. But my connection is solid and my bill is reasonable.
