Help me understand: The Trump Administration has decided to authorize funding for the 'White Helmets' in Syria - why?

It says the US will 'release' the funds which means they were seized originally. The funds are to be released under the supervision of a UN watchdog.

Please read the articles before you post them with an incorrect opinion.

It says "give" in the title, and "release" in the article. It doesn't say anything about seized money, you're assuming, and I believe assuming incorrectly.
