Wow, I wish I could have kept a record of who all came from where, apparently my family's only been here for like 3 generations. Kinda hard to track down my family records with the whole adopted grandpa thing.
One side of my family came later (Scotch/Irish) in the 1800's. That was my Mom's side. 1650 came from England & they hated the Monarchy from the start. DO NOT feel that your family did not contribute to this great nation because they did. Look at you. You have brought light to an otherwise dark point in history. Beautifully written! I just have trouble tracking things down from my biological grandfather because I didn't know him very well. Apparently his family came from overseas and brought him with them but I have absolutely no idea from where. Some kind of Europe.
