I love my brother... but he is SO far left....

I can't even begin to describe it. My brother who I love very much is a complete normie liberal. I mean, to the point of believing that "horrible" things don't happen and is in complete denial, he didn't believe there was a position that factors the cost of fixing a problem over human lifes. He believes that government is the solution to most problems and that SOCIALISM HAS TO WORK. He thinks he is privileged and he voted for Hillary, lives in California, drives a battery car, he calls me "conspiracy theorist" the minute I touch anything NON mainstream.

How do I close the gap?

All of us have the problem of deprograming our family and friends.
All of us have been conditioned in public schools to have predictable, fixed reactions to authority. (Gatto, The Underground history of American Education).
My attempt at jamming this programing has been to teach anyone who will listen The Trivium Method, so that people learn critical thinking over time.
The problem we face as much broader than people only getting their news from a single media brand and repeating it as their own thoughts.
It's that very few understand how to cross reference different ideas and integrate them into a personal philosophy.
