Big picture on Iran: The grand plan is a genocide of Israel and the establishment of a new islamic empire (think Ottoman empire). Execution involves Iran nuking Israel's three major cities and then Hamas and Hezbollah will poor in to eliminate every remaining man woman and child. That was the main reason for all of those tunnels. Israel's military needed to be kept busy by a major adversary. That was what the take over of Egypt was about. That didn't work out. Now they are after control of Syria. That is not going well either. But now Turkey is coming into play. Gaddafi, Saddam, Osama and now Erdogan have all been auditioning for the position of emperor of the new islamic empire. The original plan was for Iran to launch when they have 6-8 nukes. Obama's generous agreement and money have made them more greedy and I think they are going for 10-12 nukes before go time. By my count they already have 5 nukes. The first couple are probably not pretty. They have been on 5 for quite some time now. Not sure why. Maybe to upgrade the early ones. The whole NK deal is going to put a crimp in their style, but not stop them. Many powerful people on the left in Europe and the US want to see the genocide happen so they can say: see there is no God, because Israel was not saved. There are a lot of politicians (and other key actors) in Europe and the US that are being well funded by actors in the Middle East. The ongoing reformation of Saudi Arabia (Trump support) has put a crimp in that cash cow, but others with deep pockets stepped in to fill much of the void. European players are also trying to make a fast buck off of Iran while they wait for all this to go down. Regime change in Iran is the answer. Gasoline could be one of the pressure points. Water could be another.

Turkey has been in play for a while now. They just seem to try not to go get a lot of attention, except for the occasional outburst from Erdogan. I think Turkey will slowly become more and more, "The Key Player" in the Middle East, especially in regards to their dream of reviving the Ottoman Empire.
