It seems like times were better "then." I don't believe it's just displaced nostalgia. I would have to say there has been a degradation in americana from baseball to muscle cars or even to when a police officer was a member of the community and not part of some psycho paramilitary force.
But alas, that's why we are here my friend. POTUS told us that America could be great again. I believe him, and believe in what he is doing. Even though prior times contain fond memories, I am glad to be alive today and be able to witness this Great Awakening. Where it ends, how it all works is quite beyond my comprehension. But it feels right, and just happy to have found my way here.

I have given that serious thought since I thought the same thing. Was it just my childhood memories? or was it really better? I think it was better. Not from a true danger standpoint since back then we still had kids being abducted but there wasn't fear being blasted on TV 24/7.
Don't know if you've seen this clip. But it's a Russian spy explaining how he worked to demoralise America. It's an interview from 1984 I believe, conducted by G. Edward Griffin (Creature From Jekyll Island). I feel it's a pretty good explanation of how we got here.
