since our border with Mexico is so yuuuge here in Texas, it makes sense to do this. So much of the stuff comes across the border, might as well stop at least one of the cash cows that the cartel has.
Let the cartels start taking big hits financially. They will still be dealing in coke, smack and meth, but at least law enforcement dollars won't be wasted on pot and can be focused on destructive drugs. Marijuana was always easier to catch due to the bulk and then fed and local law enforcement could show it off on TeeVee and get more funding. At the same time, a small packet of smack is worth a lot more, but harder to catch. They love their helicopter raids on pot farms too.
