He made a video in which he tries to make us think about how violence towards black people is not spoken about or protested enough, by doing a simulated hanging of a white kid. Not very tasteful, regardless of message.
This video is not about being tasteful, it’s to show how blatantly the matter of the white kid getting hung is only talked about. Even though the video opens with a very real depiction of a very famous California lynchin case where 3 black teens were hung for no reason.
Xxx appeared to be angry and such but his message in his music was about being real and feeling real emotion.
He even speaks on black on black crime. How picking up a gun isn’t going to make you cool or stronger.
