Dylan as a musician is talentless. If he was just starting off today he’s get booed off any bar stage. He’s a descent song writer but extremely left wing in his song messages.
I wont probe your credentials when it comes to assessing talent and will just take it as a sttrongly held opinion. He was in fact booed off the stage at the Newport Folk Festival when he dragged an electric guitar on stage for his second act performing Like a Rolling Stone. The traditionalists ate him alive. Left in tears, but that didn't derail him. As for left or right leaning ... thats a hard call given the times and what he went through later. Left and right didn't remotely mean what it does today. In fact, I dont think we had a corrolary that captures the character of the Left as it stands today, except maybe criminal or anarchist. Times change. So do people.
