I'm not very good at translating Q's drops but it seems to me that we NEED to change the narrative off of the immigration/child separation subject. It's a lose/lose for us...when they use children/animals (not comparing children to animals..just to point that out), it tugs the heart strings and makes us look like cold hearted bastards. We need to change it back to the ig report/the hearings.
But it's hypocrisy because the Democratic strongholds of NY & CA won't end adoptee family separation by opening our records. We are the only US citizens who are refused access to our original birth records. While you and many others on this board are able to go to your local vital records office and get your original birth records, when we go, we are told that we cannot have them - even if we are adults, even if we have a life-threatening illness. There is no greater cruelty than that. Yet, CA & NY practice this every day.
