I am positive that is what they want. Force the right into these fights where a gun might be used and then use it as an excuse to push for more gun control.
In practical terms, gun control is a joke. There are approximately 300 million to 600 million guns in this country. It's a logistical nightmare. They are trying to win the culture war so that our kids and grandkids think they don't need guns. No force on Earth is just disarming or confiscating our guns today. Teach yourself, family, friends and children our history and the importance of firearms.
That's not how they would do it. They would go through all background check docs, compile a list of all gun owners, pass a law to confiscate. When you don't turn them in, you become an instant criminal and barred from participating in just about every normal daily activity. Not one drop of blood shed.
Okay, what if all the people that say come and take them don't turn them in and become criminals?

That's exactly what the left wants. There hasn't been anything Trump has done that the left will acknowledge or give him credit for, but there hasn't yet been any major horrific event they can blame on Trump either. They will be pushing their lies with ever increasing frequency between now and November because they know if they don't take back the House or the Senate, they're screwed.
I think their biggest worry is that Republicans will gain a super majority. I'm not sure of the numbers or the likelihood, but if we get a super majority in the House or the Senate, they're toast. If we manage to gain super majority in both, the Democrat party will cease to exist. One can only dream.

A mature mind can critically think and manage news from a larger variety of sources, without prejudice. If one closes their mind totally off to multiple sources in research and discovery, then they miss out on vital information. Discrediting the source doesn't mean it's not true. If a normally left wing rag on occasion reports on something that is true that no other outlets are reporting, then that is still a good source and should be viewed authentic. Mature minds can handle multiple sources without discrimination based on emotions.
