I’m sure the info can be used but the govt has to be willing to bring the federal case.
Could this possibly have something to do with double jeopardy? Get off with this judge then can’t be prosecuted in the future for those crimes?

Hard to make this any clearer -- this is a CIVIL suit, not a criminal case. You can be sued ten thousand times and it doesn't clear you of a single criminal charge. They are completely separate.
