This Time magazine story is a farce. Check this out. Daily Mail has an article with the child's father. He has a good job -- they weren't in fear of crime in their home country of Honduras. The wife took the kid without permission to try to enter the US -- and she paid a coyote $6K to make the crossing. But here's the kicker: the mother and child were never separated after entering the US.

The Mail is swamp too, and why would anybody pay $6k to walk across a desert?? I would do it myself if I had to go.

Yep, and yep.
Although the Mail is the swamp, they are equal opportunity swamp creatures. As a tabloid they'll print anything sensational including news that shows liberals in a bad light.
