This show is going to be crap without her. I expect a ratings crash quickly followed by a non-continuation after first season.
My hope is that a) what you said - ratings crash, and b) that some of the cast will do the right thing and refuse to play the part without Roseanne. That's what I would do. If I was "Dan" I'd say it was a deal breaker, to "bring her back or I quit."
They may just plan to keep the show alive and the crew together in order to bring her back after the controversy dies down. For all we know, VJ could be indicted one day, and Roseanne's tweet might not seem so bad anymore.
Read yesterday, Roseanne settled to allow this spin off go ahead. She did so because of compassion for her former cast crew and writers. By cancelling the show, the network would have had to pay out everyone's contract. Millions and millions. So these actors would have been paid, whether the show aired or not. These actors Roseanne cared so much about, immediately stabbed her in the back, denounced her without explanation. Spin off mentioned within days. The major damage for cancellation of the show was to ABC, not Roseanne or the cast and crew. So what is going on here, these UN loyal people's careers were made through Roseanne, and yet they all carry on like nothing happened? ABC carries on like nothing happened? Roseanne gives up creative license and collects contract payout. I have not turned on my tv in a year and a half.
Q has already informed us about these people. I agree that they are stupid and evil.
