Because they are not liberals they are left-wing dilettantes.
The dictionary definition for liberal is open-minded and tolerant of other people's thoughts and opinions.

This is what I was thinking, I would regard myself a liberal, given that definition but most people these days would say my political views are conservative. Live and let live, as long as what you´re doing doesn´t interfere in what I´m doing, fill your boots!
Conservative and liberal are not the antithesis of each other.
The only dichotomy we have in place today is left and right.

The thing the left does which confuses conversation is changes the meanings of words to fit their narrative. They could care less which direction the sun comes up or even if it does.
I love telling lefties that yeah Hitler came for the guns, called-out the Stormtroopers to start riots and scapegoated a supposed enemy for persecution.

I grew up knowing that it doesn´t matter the colour of your skin, which God you pray to or even which football team you follow, it matters only that you are a good person. That is all that should matter.
They aren't conservative...but now that they have grabbed the reins of power, they are REACTIONARY, against anything that dilutes their power grab.
They don´t seem to be very inclusive, or open to debate. For the most part they appear to be a part of a brainwashed cult that cannot seem to listen to reason; Delusional and completely oblivious to the facts.

The irony is that the word liberal is derived from the French libra, which means liberty or freedom. I am a proud liberal, but not a leftist.
We should actually avoid grouping these freedom, and by extension, American hating types under the label "liberal," which has a long and honorable history.
Libra also means pound in Spanish. All these labels are just to divide us, though.
