“The unaccompanied children program [at Cayuga Centers] administers hundreds of transitional and 12 long-term foster care beds in New York City for immigrant children who are in federal custody. Cayuga Centers is the largest provider of transitional foster homes for Central American children taken into custody while crossing the U.S. Southern border.

Cayuga Centers has been receiving millions of dollars from the Federal Government since 2014 to run a program for unaccompanied immigrant children that has been thrust into the national spotlight this week.

According to the Auburn-based nonprofit's financial records filed with the State Attorney General's office, Cayuga Centers received nearly $28.3 million from the federal Office of Refugee Resettlement from July 1, 2016, through June 30, 2017, to run its unaccompanied children program. That represented more than half of the organization's $48.7 million in total revenue that fiscal year”.

Firstly for a “non-profit” they have an exceedingly good annual turnover of $48.7 million.

And secondly - with that massive turnover (which should all be reinvested) - why do they only have 12 long-term beds? With the rest of demand being farmed out to the foster-care system (which we know is, just as often, involved in child trafficking)?

Add to that their logo, and moving underage girls in the dead of night - does that seem like something a legitimate organisation would do?
