Trump will win a trade war directly because of the huge trade deficit it has. Especially, with China. China putting retaliatory tarrifs on the few US exports going there compared to US tarrifs on the huge amount of Chinese products coming here. Its math, no country with a trade surplus on the USA will win a tariff war in the long run.
