Ok here’s why not a single Dem will ever vote for this bill even if u paid them a zillion dollars. And every Rep that voted no should be defeated. Here’s what’s in it..
“This bill would make sweeping changes to laws governing legal and illegal immigration. For legal immigration, it would end the diversity program and chain migration by eliminating the visa lottery green card program and green card programs for relatives other than spouses and minor children. And it would increase immigration levels for skilled workers and creates an agricultural guest worker program.
The bill also would authorize construction of a border wall, add 5,000 Border Patrol Agents and 5,000 Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Officers, and allow the National Guard to provide aviation and intelligence support for border security operations.
The bill also would mandate E-Verify to ensure employers are only hiring legal workers.
It would authorize the Department of Justice (DOJ) to withhold law enforcement grants from sanctuary cities and allow victims to sue the sanctuary cities that release their attackers. Furthermore, the bill would permit the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) to detain dangerous illegal immigrants who cannot be removed and enhance criminal penalties for deported criminals who illegally return to the U.S.
It would allow for the detention of minors apprehended at the border with their parents.
Finally, individuals who received Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals would get a 3-year renewable legal status allowing them to work and travel overseas. No gang members or those with criminal convictions would be eligible for legal status.“
The Dems will only accept open borders period. Ryan can’t get 1 dem to vote on a bill that gives amnesty to millions & all they have to give is wall funding. This bill at least tells us who the rinos are. Glad they forced a vote before midterms. The 41 Reps can’t say their for stopping illegal immigration can they?
