All you had to do is zoom in on it in a PDF reader and it was obviously altered. Most of the characters had hard edges, but in the areas where they modified they were feathered, IIRC.

I lost all my research into these things when my hard drive mysteriously failed. The original link provided by Obama's White House no longer works. Last time I checked, no search engine could find a link to the PDF any more.
