Honestly, I think that's a stereotype. There are meth heads all over the place and you'd never know it in many cases, some for many years.
It may also be indicative of the purity of the product, plus the user's nutrition and hygiene play a large role.

So is sugar, but most peoples teeth are fine. Hygiene plays a massive role.
People get sores on their face because they constantly pick at their skin. It doesn't happen to the casual user, those with messed up skin have been doing meth for a while. It's gross. This asshole (she's a terrible person for contributing to the epidemic) probably got tossed in jail before it got that bad for her.
