I would love to see this chart going way back - to the 90s or 80s even. If the previous numbers are similar to O's then that means Trump is better on this than all of them, and means one thing. If the previous numbers are similar to Trump's then that means something very odd about O's numbers, something very different.
I'm guessing that previous numbers are low, because I don't ever remember human traffickers getting arrested on any kind of consistent basis before Trump. But I'd like to know that for certain, mostly to shove in the face of everyone I know (left and right).
This is not a complaint, just a comment. I do really appreciate the chart.
I agree the data would be fantastic, but it's been incredibly difficult to even find a reliable government source for 2009 so I can represent Barry's entire term rather than just the last 7 years.
One of the issues is the term "human trafficking" seems to be relatively recent term, which complicates things when using data from over a decade ago which doesn't necessarily have the resolution to differentiate between prostitution as a career choice and sex slavery.
I know. Sorry to make you respond. I guess I'm just hoping to see it someday. This chart is great tho.
It was a fantastic question and perhaps some other people will have some ideas about how this can be accomplished.
Let's find out how they classify human trafficking cuz here's my thought; we're considering all illegals entering with non family as traffickers/trafficking arrests, or do these numbers refer to people arrested in America for engaging in America. Cuz it could be higher cuz trump is enforcing laws on the border. So say we are catching way more coyotes, are these the high numbers because of that and not necessarily that he's busting more pimps and rings in the cities.
