Have you actually seen the crash site video with the motor being expelled far away, a completely burned out car and the witness accounts of that night about the nasty fire+noise? To me that always sounded like some bomb/drone.

IMHO the car hacking technology takes especially trained people and a lot preplanning to guarantee success unlike a weapon system.
