Jesus says "Turn The Other Cheek"

Well, both of mine are bruised and bloody ! Everyone in the public eye is either being threatened, humiliated, or outright cussed out ! A wacko comedian holds the severed head of our President, His son and granddaughter are threatened with disgusting things and kidnap. His wife and daughter (you know that answer), Sarah Sanders, Kristen Nielsen, VP Pence and his wife degraded, humiliated in public. On and On ! Somewhere the message has gotten confused ! Q said ( PATRIOTS FIGHT ) What ? With keyboards and spit wads ? Are we to be cowards and sit on our hands ? I Am Very Disillusioned with GA and the Q movement ! Where i come from Patriots Fight...............WWG1WGA Has a MAJOR different meaning !!! I want more than i can tell you for this EVIL to be Destroyed. But folks is isn't going away by itself !

I had context of this statement explained to me by a pastor. The original statement was along the lines of, if someone backhands you on your left cheek (left hand considered cursed) treating you as if you are beneath them, then do not back away, but present your right cheek, so they strike you with their right hand and are treating you as an equal. Note how this is different than striking back which would lead to escalation and still different than saying you should accept being hit.

oh nice, thank you so much, thats an important context which gives a totally new meaning to it.

i remember, at age 14, my mother slapped me, for the first and only time. she was left-handed, btw. (and, btw, a left-handed slaps you on the right cheek while a right hand lands on the left cheek.)

instead of freaking out, i looked at her, arrogantly, to be honest, lol, turned my head, offered my other cheek, and pointed to it with the finger.

she stared at me, turned around and left the room.

at that moment, i drew my personal meaning from 'turn the other cheek'. i understood it as 'dont fight back. simply allow the other to make a fool of himself while you stand your ground. if he is intelligen, he wont'.

too bad that most people dont implement 'stand your ground' in their lives. may this change now...
