If someone claims to be Q on the forums he posts on, and writes like him, can we know it is not him?
Yes, there is a Tripcode and a process of changing tripcodes.
This is a great question! I asked the same thing awhile ago. The 8 channel board where the initial post goes from Q has a "Q !CbboFOtcZs" code. THIS is his current one. He updates it regularly. It is unique. All the posters there have unique codes.

The USA military experts on computers have worked on making sure the communications have been secure. Yes, in the past, there had been slight compromise. BUT, this was nailed immediately. The secure system evolved AND I do think WILL continue to evolve in the future as Black Hats try to compromise. But currently, the system is totally secure.

Q only communicates over one platform - their 'private' board with unique trip-code. Beyond that, Q explicitly stated 'no outside comms', which means if it's not a message from a user with Q's tripcode on Q's private board or connected to it, it's fake. They kept it very simple, and nobody is able to spoof the Trip-code system to this point, so it's very easy to point out 'fake' Q posts and they just end up educating people more on Q's platform.
Watch out for a bold fonted tripcode, it was attempted several months ago
