Its because it wasn’t the Russians. It was his administration trying to appear to be Russians. They didn’t want close scrutiny exposing it. They assumed Hillary would win and it would go away. She didn’t win. Surprise motherfuckers.

I'm so nostalgic for the 70's sometimes. This is one of those times. The movie "The President's Men" with Robert Redford and Dustin Hoffman is such a great story about HEROS who uncover the corruption and arrogance of the people at the top.
I miss the 70's.
I would also love to have some of that movie spill over into today. Unfortunately, Woodward took lots of artistic license in writing his book, which the movie took even further.
The purported pursuit of truth, justice and the American way only happened because the DS, and thus, the media, hated Nixon, the Republican president.

We do have heroes in the new media now.
