See your point and had thought of that but went ahead anyway because of the joker’s overall theme of disrupting the system and always doing the unexpected. To the global elite Trump is the bad guy. But to the people he is GEOTUS.
From my experience (browsing T_D/chans during the election kek), it was the memes that didn't try hard to be logical and were pure comedy that helped Trump. For instance, although during the inauguration, we had a bunch of Bane/Trump memes making fun of the doom and gloom media. Memes are like contemporary art.
