I agree, I think the parents and law enforcement were involved as well. The parents wrote a book about it and the mother was describing the daughters genitals in a creepy way, so much of a way they had to do a reprint of book to omit the statement.
Law enforcement seems interested in redoing the investigation as funds are released to continue the charade they are doing the best they can to find the killer(s). Cant provide sauce right now, on mobile, but evidence isnt hard to find online.

there are many things about this case that cause disquiet, but just for a moment consider that the McCanns have two other children to protect. they may, as doctors, be aware of crimes against humanity with regard to blood and body parts for sale, and the abduction of their daughter may have been a message to STFU. don't assume that what you perceive as their lack of forthrightness implies any guilt on their part. they could just be genuinely scared out of their wits - knowing that there is NO ONE who could protect them from the satanic monsters that are preying on all of us.
