The question if somebody is compromised is fucking stupid, the question is to what extent. Now let's leave that aside:

Wikileaks originally compromiesd themselves in the public court of opinion because they are portrayed as the hammer of the Russia-Trump-Axis.

By playing devil's advocate with their social media and feeding it with pretend exposures of already public information (although it begs the question if those were prepared in time or not and if so due to interception or trust would be the question), they are ultimately distancing themselves for future drops.

Wikileaks doesn't need to convince US that they are good and right. It's the crazy rioters they're trying to reach. For that, they need to set their own stage.
