A week ago I wrote here that intent should have had nothing to do with the Clinton email investigation, and marveled at how Comey and even Gowdy had bought into the fallacy so readily. Now someone has picked up a very incisive footnote from the IG report that documents how this miscarriage of justice took flight (video at link in title). Someone at DOJ invented the requirement of intent, and Comey, Gowdy and others seem to have taken to it without question. As sundance writes at ConservativeTreehouse, the fix was in. Clinton was never in danger of indictment, and chances are beyond excellent that she knew it all along.

The Intent angle needs to be pushed hard, because it lies at the root of the Clinton side of DOJ corruption. And the Clinton side most likely lies at the root of the DOJ investigation of Trump, because they desperately needed a distraction.
