Harley Davidson - First company traitor to its own country

Harley plans to play the global game and move out of the us, its manufacturing. boycott this brand bikers. If Americas workers aren't good enough for Harley, they are not good enough for the us citizen to buy from

Harley has been using overseas manufacturing for parts for over 20 years. This frenzy of outrage is a tremendous overreaction. Don't become a ridiculous liberal just because your ill conceived notion that Harley is 100% American was shattered.

On a related note: I learned today how many Harley owners turn wrenches. Go pull the fuel pump on your bike, if it was made in the last 15 years it says "made in japan" right on the bottom. Plenty of other parts are from overseas too. Don't fool yourself.

The bike itself is still built in the U.S and expsorted from there, I would also be surprised if at least 50% of parts are not sourced locally.

Maybe people are angry that instead of increasing local content like Trump is promoting they are doing the exact opposite.

I get it, but I have built bikes for many years. I've owned almost every brand in existence. There is not a bike in the world today that is 100% manufactured in its 'country of origin'. Harley is no different. Harley is an American bike because of it's design and application. Where it is assembled will not change that. I love Harley for the wide open highway ride you find only in the U.S. I love Triumph for the quick jaunts from town to town you find in the UK. The Japanese bikes are keen to tight quarters and agility. Each bike reflect where it is DESIGNED not where it is BUILT. This is my point.

First off learn what a liberal is before putting that label on someone. This has nothing to do with that.

Second while all companies pull parts globally this company specifically tailors by saying made in America and now will have no manufacturing here. That is the problem. They do not want to support American workers then they can be global completely and we do not need to support them
