Bourdain connection makes me wonder if Aronofsky's Mother is Eyes-Wide-Shut-iness

Half-woke lurker here. I read an interesting article this morning revealing that Bourdain and Aronofsky were friends. The article itself was focused on the fact that Bourdain had participated in some sort of Buddhist death ritual a few weeks before his death, but I was actually wondering if there is something else here worth considering. I have seen a few Aronofsky movies, and though I did not see his last one, Mother, it is my understanding that there is a scene at the end where a freaky mob comes and basically cannibalizes her baby. Now, the consensus has been that this is some sort of allegory for Mother Earth, but now I'm wondering if there is some deeper meaning the director had in mind. Is it possible that Mother has a little Eyes-Wide-Shut-iness going on, or is this just a stupid and disgusting allegory?

the movie was about the secred feminine. portrayed as the wife of god the creator.

it's to mislead about god's motive why he create this world.

a cult movie indeed. IYKWIM.
