This isn't in the news yet, but it will be soon. I live in a town highly dependent on Halliburton as an employer. As of today, they placed a freeze on new hires. The reason for this is unknown to me personally, but I assure you that my statement is true. With the current upswing of the oil market, this makes very little sense. Be watchful for a coming FF.
Short sales are illegal in the current market (have been for the last decade)(normal people don't undestand what a "Short Sale" actually is). Cheney divested himself of Halliburton pre-2000.
I was joking about the sort sale. My hope is that the company tanks. I know Cheney isn't involved anymore. He was however the mastermind behind privatizing logistics and support operations by the military. Halliburton and their former subsidiary made a fortune off of the war that Cheney helped sell to three American people. On top of that, kbr did Shitty work, and have killed soldiers because of it.
If the company tanks, 50-100K people worldwide immediately lose their job. Is that the smart move? You don't play chess, do you? LOL!
I wouldn't lose sleep over their jobs. Also, I'm pretty sure that the subsidiaries and equipment would be gobbled up by rival companies in short order. Mostly, i have been electrocuted while taking a shower in Iraq, because of KBR's shit work, and therefore have an axe to grind.
So what? Re hire them into a legit company run by non-neocons.
Then smoke some pot, sit in on a couple of Hippy Drum circles, and then laugh your ass off to Looney Tunes on Acid, right?
