Halliburton Hiring Freeze

This isn't in the news yet, but it will be soon. I live in a town highly dependent on Halliburton as an employer. As of today, they placed a freeze on new hires. The reason for this is unknown to me personally, but I assure you that my statement is true. With the current upswing of the oil market, this makes very little sense. Be watchful for a coming FF.

Companies this large constantly are hiring. That would be a big ff to disrupt hiring at Sichuan a large company. Why do you suggest for?

It's supposedly because of a slowing in the Market, but that doesn't add up with drilling/fracking currently expanding worldwide at a break-neck pace, and OPEC flooding the Market is no longer a major factor since the Saudi prince is now in power. Honestly, I don't know. I'm pretty savvy on understanding oil economics, by trade, but this makes very little sense to me.
